Events

A large purpose of the formation of this community was to create an environment in which neighbors would have opportunities to connect with neighbors. Community is more than just living in our individual homes, it is about knowing and caring for and about one another. SPOA events are designed to help achieve this better kind of community living.

If you have a desire to help in any of these events, or create new ones, please contact staff.

Annual Picnic

Historically, SPOA has hosted a picnic after the Annual Meeting. This has been a very popular and well-attended event each year. Join us!

Easter Egg Hunt

The Social Committee does a wonderful job preparing for this event each year. SPOA members enjoy watching their kids & grandkids race through the grass at Clubhouse Park to grab up those colorful plastic eggs before they're gone. They then meet up at the Clubhouse to open the eggs and discover what is in them.

Happy Hour/The Gathering

Each month, the Social Committee hosts a Happy Hour for adult SPOA members. These are generally held on a Friday and will be posted in advance on FaceBook and the monthly newsletter.

In December, the party gets moved to the Clubhouse on New Year's Eve.

Kids' Christmas Party

This event has been a staple for years! This event has taken a break in recent years, due to lack of volunteers. Kids and parents alike rave about what a great event this is. If you're interested in helping bring this event back, please contact office staff and they will help you get connected with the Social Committee Chair.

The party is held at the Clubhouse, and in its most recent years, has seen an appearance from Santa and his hard-working elf.

Volunteer Appreciation Dinner

In the first quarter of each year, the office staff and Board put together an event to honor the volunteers. Whether you volunteer a little or a lot, we appreciate it all.
